Career Guidance & Higher Education Cell

A dedicated Career Guidance and Higher Education Cell is established to guide the students to prospective careers. This cell is to collect the career options from the students, create Awareness and importance of higher studies in India & abroad. The cell functions like a bridge between the institution and industry. It holds career-oriented lectures by senior managers and successful consultants.

Objectives of the Career Guidance Cell:

1. To conduct a student survey on their needs and suggestions to promote higher studies / language studies and further motivate, train, and guide students for higher studies and competitive exams.

2. To form Career Guidance & Higher Education clubs through registration.

3. To renew our contacts with the foreign embassies / leading higher study training centers for organizing higher study awareness programs / help desks in the college premises to promote higher studies in India and Abroad.

4. To sign MoUs with leading higher study training centers for organizing higher study awareness programs and guide the higher study aspirants further.

5. To effectively make use of Alumni Network, who have gone abroad for higher studies, to periodically motivate and guide our students.

6. To organize Guest Lectures on Profile Building and Effective SOP Writing.

7. To organize higher study events.

8. To award and recognize the toppers in the Higher Study Exams / Competitive Examinations and recipients of Admission offers from the Universities in Abroad.

Activities of The Cell

• Organizes coaching for GRE, TOEFL, TOEIC, GATE, CAT, IELTS inside the college premises by the leading external organizations and internal resource persons.
• Provides study materials to help the higher study aspirants.
• Invites eminent speakers to interact with our students about Preparation for the exam, Scheduling study hours, Attending the Exam & Interviews.
• Organizes Foreign Language Programs on German, French, Japanese and Coaching Classes.

Skill Development Cell

The most essential tool for enhancing socio-economic development, not only for individuals but also for the entire country, is learning. The challenges that higher education in the twenty-first century must address include providing skill-centric education and meeting the needs of industry and society on a global scale. To overcome these challenges, the Vivekanandha College of Engineering for Women has established the Skill Development Cell. This cell aims to increase industry participation, establish necessary frameworks for quality assurance, and elevate skills to an international level. In addition to receiving an excellent education, students at our institution also gain practical training in various skill areas, bridging the knowledge gap between academia and industry while meeting the needs of society.

Skill Development Cell provides hands on practical training courses on various topics at affordable cost to make youths technically skilled and engage themselves in local market and international marketplace. The primary objective of the cell is to reduce unemployment rates and contribute to the economic development of our country.

Objectives of the Skill Development Centre:

• To provide students with a range of skill-development programmes to increase their employability.
• To encourage entrepreneurialism
• To improve young people's social and economic standing and to aid in the nation's development of its workforce.
• To support the knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• To provide the platform to learn skill oriented courses under various schemes of government of India. This provides opportunity to all students in society to learn various skill oriented courses.

The skill development centre of Vivekanandha College of Engineering for women conducts various skill oriented programs like AI Programming, Machine learning, Cyber security, Internet of Things, Embedded Programming, Data Acquisition, Robotics and PCB Design courses in association with various schemes of government of India, thereby horning the technical skills of the students and make them industry ready. Beyond the institutional focus, In addition to that, having our institution known for its endless support for women empowerment, the centre also conducts exclusive Skill Development Courses like Beautician training, Baking and Tailoring for underprivileged and rural women.
